We should fight unitedly for the problems of lawyers

Hyderabad (CLiC2NEWS): The presidents and secretaries of the Advocates bar associations of the state have resolved to fight unitedly to solve the problems faced by the lawyers in the state of Telangana. A meeting of 110 bar associations across the state was called at Hyderabad on Sunday under the leadership of the High Court Bar Association. In this meeting, High Court Bar Association President A. Ravinder Reddy along with many bar association presidents and secretaries participated from the districts and discussed various problems.
On this occasion, President of High Court Bar Association A. Ravinder Reddy said that it is time to review insurance facility for advocates and work for stipends to junior advocates. Advocates should strive for allotment of houses for advocates and also chambers at the newly proposed high court building by approaching the state govt and high court authorities. Association shall strongly advocate for increase of the term of bar association from one year to two years. The bar council of Telangana should pay attention to the problems of all the associations and the elections to the bar council of Telangana shall be held at the earliest.
GK Deshpande Advocate president of drt bar association emphasized the need of unity and devising mechanism to effectively implement the will and wish of the members present at the conference. It was also suggested by him that the High Court Bar Association should take steps to implead itself in the case of before supreme court where the Honourable Supreme Court has decided to consider framing guidelines for advocates’ associations across the country in a bid to make their admission regulations uniform and democratic, by Bench headed by Justice Surya Kant has titled the proceedings ‘In Re: Strengthening of the Institution of Bar Associations’.
Also, many presidents of the various bar association expressed the opinion that the limit of tenure of the association’s working class should be increased. It was brought to the attention of the meeting that some Bar Associations, especially those belonging to other remote districts, are facing difficulties due to lack of financial resources. It is also said that CRPC 41A is of no use to the common people and lawyers are also suffering due to it, and there is a need to fight for its repeal. It is also requested that the government deposit some amount annually to the lawyers’ welfare fund.
High Court Bar Association Vice President Deepti, Secretaries Uppala Shanti Bhushan Rao, G Sanjeeva Reddy District, Joint Secretary Vasireddy Naveen Kumar, DRT Bar Association Secretary Raghavu and President Secretaries from various districts participated in this meeting.
