`ఇండియా` కూటమి ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి అభ్యర్థిగా జస్టిస్ సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి
న్యూఢిల్లీ (CLiC2NEWS): ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఇండియా కూటమి అభ్యర్థిగా సుప్రీం కోర్టు విశ్రాంత న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్ బి. సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి ని ప్రకటించారు. ఈ మేరకు మంగళవారం మాజీ న్యాయమూర్తి బి సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి ని తమ అభ్యర్థిగా ఇండియా కూటమి సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయించారు.
ఈ మేరకు కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు మల్లికార్జున ఖర్గే నివాసం జరిగిన సమావేశంలో విపక్ష పార్టీల నేతలు తమ ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి అభ్యర్థిని ప్రకటించాయి.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కాంగ్రెస్ అధ్యక్షుడు మల్లికార్జున ఖర్గే (Mallikarjuna Kharge)మాట్లాడుతూ.. “ఉప రాష్ట్రపతిగా ఇండియా కూటమి అభ్యర్థిని నిలబెట్టాలని నిర్ణయించాయి. ఈ మేరకు ఈ రోజు సమావేశమైన ఒక పేరును అన్ని పార్టీలు ప్రతిపాదించాయి. ఒకే పేరును అన్ని విపక్ష పార్టీలు అంగీకరించడం నాకు చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉంది. దేశంలో ప్రముఖ న్యాయనిపుణులలో బి. సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి ఒకరు“ అని అన్నారు.
అనారోగ్య కారణాల వల్ల ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ధన్ఖడ్ రాజీనామాతో కొత్త ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నిక అనివార్యమైన విషయం తెలిసిందే.. ఈ ఎన్నికలో భాగంగా ఎన్డీయే అభ్యర్థి ఎన్నికపై బిజెపి తీవ్ర కసరత్తు చేసి తమిళనాడుకు చెందిన, ప్రస్తుత మహారాష్ట్ర గవర్నర్ సిపి రాధాకృష్ణన్ (C. P. Radhakrishnan)ను ఎంపిక చేసింది.
కాగా ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి నామినేషన్ దాఖలుకు చివరి తేదీ ఆగస్టు 21. ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికను సెప్టెంబరు 9వ తేదీన నిర్వహించనున్నారు.
సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి స్వస్థలం తెలంగాణలో రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా ఆకులమైలారం. 1971లో ఉస్మానియా వర్సిటీలో లా పూర్తి చేశారు. గువాహతి హైకోర్టు ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తిగా 2005లో పనిచేశారు. అనంతరం సుప్రీం కోర్టు న్యాయమూర్తిగా 2007-2011 మధ్య కాలంలో సేవలందించారు. అలాగే సుదర్శన్ రెడ్డి గోవా తొలి లోకాయుక్తగా పనిచేశారు.
