తంజావూర్ జిల్లా మదుక్కూర్ దగ్గర గల గోపాలసముద్రానికి చెందిన వినోద్ కుమార్ (38) డ్రైవర్గా, ఫొటోగ్రాఫర్గా పనిచేసుకుంటున్నాడు. అతనికి నిత్య (35)తో విహానం జరిగింది. వీరికి ఓవియా (12), కీర్తి (8), ఈశ్వరన్ (5) అనే పిల్లలు ఉన్నారు.
తిరువారూర్ జిల్లా మన్నార్కుడికి చెందిన ఓ వ్యక్తితో సోషల్ మీడియాలో నిత్యకు పరిచయమయ్యాడు. దాంతో ఈ మధ్యనే ఆరు నెలల కిందట అతనితో నిత్య వెళ్లిపోయింది. ఈ మధ్యనే వినోద్ కుమార్ తన భార్య నిత్యను కలిసి తన వద్దకు రావాలని కోరాడు. దానికి నిత్య నిరాకరించింది.
దాంతో తీవ్ర మనస్థాపానికి గురైన వినోద్ కుమార్ శుక్రవారం పిల్లలకు స్వీటు ఇచ్చాడు. అవి తింటుండగానే ముగ్గురు పిల్లల గొంతు కోసేశాడు. అనతంరం వినోద్ కుమార్ మదుక్కూర్ పోలీసు స్టేషన్లో లొంగిపోయారు. ఈ ఘటన పై మదుక్కూర్ పోలీసలు కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.
